Character likability The Road

The main character in The Road is very likable. He does not have a name throughout the story he is known as the man. My favorite thing about the man is that he will do anything to protect his son, his well being doesn't matter as long as his son is OK. This shows that he is a good person. Even though the boy is growing up in a desolate and godless world, the man tries to shelter him and make him a good person. The Son in the book is also very likable, he has so many questions about life, what it was like before and about things that are happening now. they are both just trying to get through the day by day, just trying to see how long they can survive. Food is scarce they are always hungry, there are murders and thieves everywhere. They are always on the road always traveling, not really going anywhere in particular just trying to survive. I love both the characters they are both very memorable, sometimes in the book it feels like they are the only good people left in the world. In closing let me leave you with this question. If you and your son were some of the last people on earth, would you be good or bad?
