A book is anything and everything that you want it to be. A book is like your imagination anything goes, no matter how crazy or weird. I agree with Meno it does not matter what format a book is in its the content inside that counts. Me myself I like the feel of actual books, even the smell of the paper. But I can use a kindle I like the feel of clicking a button, you can read anywhere even in the dark. It really doesn't matter to me as long as the content is good and entertaining.
One thing I disagree with is the article “ Scribble “ by Victor
LaValle, books can have meaning sometimes, like if I read Green Eggs and Ham on an Ipad when I was little I don't think it would have as much of an effect on me as it does now. The hardback cover with the beautifully crafted pictures inside would have not felt the same coming from an Ipad or a Kindle. People that think that the author was bleed ing on the pages trying to finish there masterpiece, that it loses its meaning when the book is transfered to a kindle are wrong. The amount of hard work they put into writing there book is going to show no matter what format they put it in and if I was an author I would be proud to get my book put online, not every book gets that privilege. Overall I really don't think it matters what format we read on, even though i may have a few quarrels here and there, as long as people are reading I'll be happy.

I agree that the illustrations in Green Eggs and Ham would not have the same effect coming from an iPad or Kindle.
